I am a proud native of Texas, but now equally as proud to be a Tennessean. I have been happily married to my wife for 32 years. We love to travel in our spare time and spend time with family and friends every chance we get. We have two married children, Courtney and Cameron, and three awesome grandchildren, Della, Jack, and Finlee. We also have three fur babies, Troop, Rona, and Tannah. I am a military veteran of the Marine Corps and Army. I retired from the Army in 2014, and started pursuing my career in teaching. I graduated from Austin Peay in 2018, and began teaching at Woodlawn Elementary that same year. This is my 6th year teaching. I teach Algebra 1, and love all things Math. I am the Head Coach of the Lady Viking Softball Program, and very passionate about the success of student athletes.

I am very excited about this new school year.  This year brings me to the high school for my first year, but I already feel like this is where I belong.  I look forward to cultivating relationships with students, and being someone to help foster them through the difficulties of navigating high school and the formative teenage years.  

While Algebra 1 can be daunting in the beginning, we will navigate the curriculum together and tackle this beast together.  

 

Life is a math equation. In order to gain the most, you have to know how to convert negatives into positives.

Students are expected to be punctual to class, be prepared for class, be productive in class, be prompt in turning in assignments, and be polite to teachers and other students.
