Hello! I am the Visual Arts I and II instructor. This is my 8th year teaching and I am originally from East Tennessee. In 2016 I received my BFA in Studio Arts from ETSU. I believe every child can benefit from the Arts in education. My goal as a teacher is to allow students to focus on the journey, not the end result, and to celebrate progress.
We will focus on art history, experiment with various 2D, 3D, and digital media. Students will also analyze and critique artworks and apply art vocabulary aligned with TN state standards. I hope to provide my students with the opportunity to express themselves visually and to experiment with media while finding their artistic voice. An arts education develops skill for students to become a critical thinker and problem solver for the future.
